Sources inside the State Republican Party have told political reporter Elizabeth Benjamin of Capital Tonight that Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef will seek the State Senate seat in the 38th District. The seat is currently held by long-term incumbent Thomas P. Morahan.
The Rockland Progressive Democcratic Caucus will meet at Nyack Village Hall at 7 pm on Thursday, May 6. The primary discussion will be the upcoming State legislature races, particularly the State Senate race in the 38th District.
