I often hear that political partisanship has no place in local politics. I'm told that we should chose candidates based on local issues, and not their political affiliation. But the truth is, political divisions are inherent in all political discourse and partisanship at the local level is much better than the alternative. »

More pushback on “Workforce Housing”
Another writer to the Journal News bashed Thom Kleiner for promoting the "Workforce Housing" Bill. by connecting subsidized housing with increased taxes and excessive tax-exempt Ramapo properties. The truth is that the bill was a "poison pill" presented by the Working Families Party which is opposing Kleiner with a placeholder candidate. »
