The Rockland Progressive Dems invites its members to attend a healthcare rally at Nyack’s Memorial Park on Oct. 4 at 4:30 p.m.
As a peaceful response to harsh rhetoric in the national healthcare debate, a group of grassroots activists from the Lower Hudson Valley formed a committee and is staging the rally to promote progressive health-care reform. They are seeking to include as many diverse groups and individuals as possible.
They want people of goodwill to have an opportunity to gather together and speak out on this issue. They also seek to put some pressure on the President and Congress to do what needs to be done and not to pull back in fear.
The basic premise of the rally is that Health Care is a Human Right.
