County Exec race kickoff June 24

The Rockland Progressive Democratic Caucus will meet on Wed., June 24 @ 7:30 pm, 2nd floor of Nyack Village Hall to mobilize for Thom Kleiner, the Democratic candidate for County Executive.

This campaign is critically important to the future of our County, as Rockland County faces serious economic challenges. Thom, who’s excelled as Orangetown’s Supervisor, represents the leadership we need to get the county back on a sound fiscal footing. Kleiner also stands for transparency in government, creating an economic environment that attracts businesses to Rockland, and protecting the county’s environment and open spaces. And Thom Kleiner can run on his record, as Orangetown Supervisor he successfully improved the town’s quality of life, while responsibly managing taxes and keeping the town’s budget on track.

Kleiner is running against a four-term incumbent in Republican C. Scott Vanderhoef and this is going to be one tough race. Thom is going to need the help of the Progressive Dems to win this race and we’re meeting to organize a grassroots campaign of canvassing, phone banking, and other critical campaign activities.
